Informex Latin America São Paulo, Brazil, August 23-24, 2010
Latin America is a booming emerging market for the chemical industry. Companies from all over the world are racing to claim space in Latin America and build factories to be part of the new business sprouting there. The Informex event will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, the epicentre of the Specialty Chemical market in Latin America. View our promotional brochure for more info.
In addition to São Paulo being the business capital of Latin America with more than 17 million inhabitants and a modern infrastructure, there are
several reasons why Informex chose Latin America for this networking event, including:
* Brazil, one of the four BRIC countries [Brazil, Russia, India, and China], has one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
* Brazil, which is the fifth largest country in the world by both population and area, has the eighth highest gross domestic product on a purchasing power parity basis, according to the International Monetary Fund.
* It is the largest producer of ethanol in the world.
* There are 1,096 chemical industries in Brazil, and 604 are located in the state of São Paulo.
In Brazil the chemical industry’s net sales in 2008 exceeded US$120 billion, 50% of which represented industrial chemicals, 14% pharmaceutical products, with the remaining segments (paints, coatings, cosmetics, perfumes, crops/fertilizers) totaling 36%. We know you need to be part of this emerging market so we are organizing this inaugural event to bring together buyers and sellers in the thriving chemical industry industry.
